Hey all ! Looks like series 2 will be released in about a month. I have not been able to find a checklist and wonder if anyone here had any links. Whaat do we think the big rookie will be? And do we think Jackson Holliday will be here or in Update?

My guess is Holliday will be in series 2 and his rookie debut will be in the update. If not, I wonder who the draw would be in series 2.

Whether or not Holliday is in the set, I think some of the other big rookies in Series 2 are going to be Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Jackson Chourio, Jackson Merrill, Wyatt Langford, Jared Jones and Shota Imanga.

I would doubt most of those rookies will be in Series 2. Usually Series 2 mostly includes August and Sept call ups from the prior season. Although Yamamoto and Imanaga might be exceptions this year. Maybe the rest that started the year in the bigs might be in, but I think Holliday is just about a guarantee for Update.

I think they're making some of these rookies up. Did some of them just throw one inning and disappear?

Before people rush and go upload checklist please ensure you look at the numbering. Not just to ensure numbering is correct, but some are continuations of Series 1 releases (Stars of the MLB for example). As such they get amended to the current checklist, not get a new one.

Right? I feel like this has gotten so much worse in the last few years. Everything is so RC-heavy now that it really feels like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel. Almost 20% of the checklist (67 out of 350) has an RC designation. That's too much.
Just for comparison, I went back ten years. Less than 10% of the entire checklist in 2014 Topps (62 out of 660) were RCs.

I was really hoping for a Brody Koerner rookie in 2022. My wife is related to him. He was a Yankee, so he had that going for him, he pitched in that game in 2021 where 3 Yankees (Luis Gil, Stephen Ridings, and Brody) made their MLB debuts in the same game, so I figured that would at least get him on a combo card, but nothing. He pitched in 2 games, gave up like 3 runs and got 1 K, and now is retired. If only he had pitched now, cause as much as they were putting rookies in 2022 Topps, the past 2 years is insane. Half of these guys get released or put on waivers before their rookie cards come out so they aren’t even on the right team. Fanatics catering to prospectors and flippers at its worst. If you are going to put all these damn rookies in the set, put the whole damn roster in it.

I couldn't figure out how to upload the checklist or I would have (for non-inserts at least). Today was one of those afternoons at work where I was looking for a distraction...
