As Chairman of the Transaction Review Board let me simply say that the decision to limit Shawn's activity included deactivating several accounts of which Bowlingboss87 was the latest. There have been direct interactions with Shawn explaining our actions that would include any attempt to circumvent the restrictions by starting up another ID which Bowlingboss87 was since his last active account was restricted recently. He has been encouraged often to make good on trades and given instructions on how to go about it. With Bowlingboss87 he chose to disregard wisdom and restart down the wrong path.
This is not preventing him from being able to track his collection and enjoy growing his collection, but it is disallowing trades using the TCDB transaction system.

Shawn, you're missing the point. Jackie's ID is A Billion Trades.
And now it's time for you to pick which ID you're going to continue with. One ID for each of you. And no new IDs.

Yes, the membership raised questions about why the site wouldn't handle a situation exactly like what Shawn was doing (in fact, Shawn was one of the main reasons the trade review board was created), and now that the TRB is doing what it was asked to do, it's being crucified for doing exactly that. I cannot discuss specifics from the cases, but there have been plenty of members who have had their ability to initiate or receive trade offers restricted (either temporarily or, in some extreme cases, permanently).
Aligning yourself with certain people who have been on this site also shows character. Defending someone who continually lied (and continues to lie) about the circumstances that led to a forum ban or defending someone who has received nearly 100 (still-documented) negative feedbacks is not where I would put my alliance. Additionally, I do not think someone who potentially lied about circumstances in a perceived effort to acquire free cards is a person to align with either. Rehashing something that was rationally explained a while back is not a good look either.
And I agree with you, some of the responders here definitely have more serious issues than Shawn. But let's not downplay Shawn's issues. Nearly 100 negative feedbacks is certainly sufficient reason to think someone should be banned from trading - this is not a bash. Another member than had about 30-35 negatives across 2023 was also someone who everyone wanted tossed from the site. He only had 1/3 the issues Shawn has had. If the facts are bashing Shawn, then so be it.

I have relatives - more than one - whose behavior is continually destructive and selfish. And no matter how you break it down and try to explain things to them, in good faith, they simply refuse to acknowledge what they're doing. And they never, ever change. And so, as a result, other people continue to suffer the ill effects of their behavior. It's exasperating.
So thank you to Sportzcommish for holding these two accountable for their actions, and prohibiting them from trading further. in cases like this, there's always one sob story after another after another. But in the end it's still the same old same old. At some point it really doesn't matter what the excuses are, you have to say enough is enough.

Defending members who have characteristics that are inherent in their personal make-up from self-righteous bullies on this site is not aligning oneself with them. I have never traded with any of these members due to the feedback they received from others. But I will continue to speak up for them when others wish to put them down. There was nothing wrong with the original OP of this thread or the confirmation that it was likely the same person but after that, it became personal bashing. That is not acceptable and that is what I speak of.
Now defending/aligning yourself with someone who knowingly frauded the members of this site, who used pictures of his own son receiving the generous donations from honest members only to "milk" more sympathy and more donations really raises ethical concerns. There was nothing alleged about the fraud that was uncovered in 2019. There was no house fire; there was no son's autistic friend. It was all lies to gain more cards for free.
But no matter. Choose to defend and persecute who you wish. Every time this discussion comes up, I get messages asking about who the fraud artist was and I gladly respond with the full story. The Negative Feedback I had left back then that the Review committee chose to change to Neutral was probably never read by new members but I will say, many know about what happened because of these threads.

i might be slow as hell on getting stuff out at times but at least i've NEVER EVER used a fire or a kid to get free cards and you do realize that 1 person kept leaving negative feedback on ALL the accounts but nobody said anything to that said person nobody stopped him from doing it and because of that almost to no one would trade with me because of said person ALWAYS leaving negative feedback on my account

I thought Negative Feedback could only be left after a transaction was at least in the Accepted stage? I guess different rules for different members. No surprise.

My understanding is that feedback can be left whenever somebody would like. It doesn't even have to be tied to a transaction.
