It’s weird what you can pick up in trade if you just let yourself be open to trading.
I’ve been trying to complete the master set of O-Pee-Chee baseball, and despite it being way behind my hockey collection, it’s been a lot of fun.
I’ve got most of the 80’s and 90’s so now the focus is more late 70’s and of course 2009.
What I don’t have a lot of is the 60’s. In fact I have only 52 cards from the entire decade so far, which isn’t very good. So when I had a chance to add these 9 I jumped.
The backs are blank but these are the 1969 O-Pee-Chee – Deckle
It’s crazy that I know have 12 of these. I thought they’d be near the end of my collection, but as of today I have more of these then base sets from 5 different years.
Left to Right
Top: Tommy Helms, Dick Allen, Luis Aparicio
Middle : Bill Freehan, Tom Haller, Willie Horton
Bottom: Frank Howard, Denny McLain, Maury Wills
I think my favourites are the McLean & Allen though for just plain 60s ness
