Set: 1999 Fleer Brilliants - Blue (Rate)

Card: #151B A.J. Burnett

“ The Fleer Brilliants NBA set is awful. The fronts are sticky, sometimes greasy, and sometimes both. And you can't get the dust that sticks off of them, because they chip if you try. My least favorite NBA set ever. Based on the scan it looks like the baseball set used the same technology. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Good Looking card. great photo. Love it. ” -parsley24

“ I always have liked the blue versions of these cards. ” -cjjt

“ OK card weird fonts on front and name on back Not familiar with this set.I'm sure I have seen it at sometime but I don't really recall. ” -captkirk42

Set: 2012 Finest - Green Refractors (Rate)

Card: #83 Joe Mauer

“ So much white. Needs some color or something to make it stand out. ” -davidhandberry

“ Green is my favorite color so this must look really good in hand. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Certain years of Finest lack much imagination in regards to aesthetics. This is one of those years. This particular card is salvaged by proxy of it being a colored refractor. ” -mkaz80

“ Another Topps Finest? ON a day when a Tops Finest is the showcased Random Card? OK this card is a little better than last week's. I see it is serial numbered and Mauer was a pretty decent player for the Senators 1.0 aka Twins. D'oh they were the 1st not 2nd version of Senators. ” -captkirk42

“ Kind of a basic card. Not one of my favs ” -parsley24

“ I like Finest. Usually a clean design and nice refractors. Nice thicker stock too. I just hate how they tend to warp like other coated cards. ” -suomibear8

“ Yes, that's green alright. ” -NJDevils

“ The card is whatever, but great pic of Mauer. ” -crushnmove

“ Writing about a Finest card on the day a Finest card is RCOTD. Not really one for the coincidence list, but kind of random. Mauer was good. Wonder what this looks like in hand. ” -muskie027

Set: 2019-20 O-Pee-Chee - Retro (Rate)

Card: #223 Braydon Coburn

“ Not too many hot pink sports cards out there. I think my daughters would love this card! ” -davidhandberry

“ Whoever scanned this needs to buy a new scanner. When it starts putting pink lines across the image, it's done for. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ That is a great retro card! ” -SandersFan

“ To me O-Pee-Chee Retro are the best parallels produced. The design is very different than the base card. Most parallels are just a color variation than the base card. This particular is no exception. I have made it a point to collect all Kings regarding O-Pee-Chee Retro issues. ” -Brendan Barrick

“ Love OPC Retro Hockey cards. Even though they often are a brand new design I love their look and feel of being from the 1960s or '70s ” -captkirk42

“ Great looking retro card. ” -parsley24

“ This is a nice looking card. It reminds me of the early 80s Topps issues. ” -Derek McDonough

“ I always love retro style cards. Very nice. ” -crushnmove

“ Man, another retro card. I do like this design though ” -BasketbalHQ

“ Not too shabby. I like the old cardboard style cards. ” -muskie027

Card: #318 Willie Smith

“ Is this a newspaper clipping? ” -volbox

“ Never knew ITT Tech did stat boxes. ” -ShoTime

“ This is a newspaper clipping, not a trading card. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Wow! I imagine this is a super tough card to find. Who would have saved them from the Dayton Daily News? Cool!! ” -cjjt

“ I'm thinking the Dayton Daily News should have stuck to sports news and should have left producing baseball cards to the professionals. ” -bpaul14

“ How is this card allowed? Seems like a newspaper clipping ” -parsley24

“ I love these kinds of unique cards. Check the back and then google "ITT Tech closure". ” -crushnmove

“ 1970-71? It looks like it could have been from 1870-71. ” -DocOso

“ ?What are these? Looks like something that was in a newspaper. Didn't know any newspapers made "cards" during the '70s. ” -captkirk42

“ Was this a card or a newspaper cut out? ” -muskie027

“ Is this a card or a newspaper clipping? ” -davidhandberry

“ Hard to imagine why most people didn't cut this part of the page off of the newspaper and simply trashed these "trading cards". ” -UKboogie

Set: 2006-07 Fleer (Rate)

Card: #140 Dwight Howard

“ Quite a story of him resurrecting his career this year with the Lakers. Most people seem to have forgotten how truly good he was for a while. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I always liked Fleer. This reminds me of a modern Panini version of Donruss type design. ” -muskie027

“ Nice looking card. Reminds me of 80's Fleer, so that is a definite plus. ” -davidhandberry

“ Card boarder makes it look like a collegiate card. ” -SandersFan

Set: 1995 Wheels Crown Jewels (Rate)

Card: #72 Petty's New Deal

“ Wow, two cards from the same set within a week. That win referenced was his final career win. He raced until 2008 and is now a broadcaster. He is most known as the third generation in the first four-generation family in sports...although he was never the same after his son Adam was killed in an accident. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ For a race card the front is not bad, great photo. but the back looks like an ACEO card. ” -parsley24

“ Racing card without the car - 1 Name/Title hard to read - 20 Brand logo too dang large - 6 No border = ? Back: Looks like a newspaper - 10 Title and logo at top too big - 10 No stats of any kind - 20 Overall not too bad initially but when I do a checklist of flaws starts looking bad. Maybe I shouldn't do the extra commenting. ” -captkirk42

“ As far as racing cars go, I think this one I pretty cool. ” -muskie027

“ I’ve seen a Doug Drabek Upper Deck card with an unusual “Dinosaur “ light effect . Has anyone else seen this card? I’ve searched every database I can; but I am unable to locate any photos of this 1995 card ” -Cynlb669

Set: 1997 Finest (Rate)

Card: #310 Derek Jeter

“ Not a bad looking card. I like the attempt to simulate a baseballs stiching. ” -Derek McDonough

“ Nice scan for a Finest card. Although baseball is not my sport even I know of the exploits of Derek Jeter. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ The threads through the back of the photo is a bit much, but a nice looking card. ” -parsley24

“ I'm going to abstain from making any comments about this card due to it being a "Finest" card. ” -captkirk42

“ Is there an effect on this card? If so, I bet it looks great in hand. How often does a legend like Jeter pop on RCOTD? Cool card! ” -muskie027

Set: 1995 Wheels Crown Jewels - Diamond (Rate)

Card: #79 Checklist: 1-73

“ 1995 Crown Jewels was the first set in the three sports I mainly collect to have serially numbered parallels, of which this is one. Unfortunately I don't believe I've ever opened a single pack of the set. Must not have been available locally, because 1995 is one of my favorite seasons in the sport. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I just think a checklist as RCOTD is funny. ” -muskie027

“ Still better than a magic the gathering card. ” -parsley24

“ A rarity in today's card world a real checklist. OK so it is from 25 years ago and it has been some 10 years since checklists were en vogue, but still very cool ” -captkirk42

“ Thats a rad checklist ” -Paullilko

“ This card has a better design then most modern Panini cards! ” -YoRicha

“ Checklist! Awesomely random! ” -cjjt
