Set: 2004 Bowman - Gold (Rate)

Card: #321 Chad Chop

“ I looked up Chad Chop thinking that he had a cool name and I always love looking up minor league players. This one did not disappoint. One of the more interesting stories I have found. Chad started off great, making a minor league All-Star team in one of his first seasons but his production fizzled and he was dropped after just a few years in the minors. He retired and went to work as a fireman and opened a baseball academy. It did well and he sold it and started a new one in California, where he became friends with Hunter Pence, who brought him along to spring training with the Giants and he did so well the Giants they brought him on their staff and he became their video replay analyst. He spent several years with the Giants including reversing a call to help them in Game 7 of the 2014 World Series. As of 2018 he was no longer with the Giants and seems to be back coaching youth sports. ” -davidhandberry

“ Well this one probably just found itself added to the "Funniest Names" lists some members have. ” -rmpaq5

“ Ryan Helsley finds Chad's name disrespectful. ” -jackal726

“ Never heard of him, but it's an Expos card so I approve ” -Lennoxmatt

“ Back when you could identify a gold parallel very easily. Ah early 2000s Bowman they all look the same. Love this guy's name CHAD CHOP. Someone who has a list of funny names should put this on it. ” -captkirk42

“ This card is simple. Not a big fan of the color choice for the border. Hopefully the background in the other cards is better than this bland brick wall. The foil stamping blends in with the color of the card too much. That said, you must give extra credit to Chad Chop. The name alone is worth 3 points. ” -coreymacleod

“ Nice name bro ” -Paullilko

“ Weird creepy photo. Kind of a dissappointing card. Lack of pop. ” -parsley24

“ I've never heard of anyone named Chop before. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I love all expos cards. I love the idea of the teams of the past. I collect baseball cards and so does one of my friends. I showed him the card and his first thought was “Who in the world does this guy play for”. ” -ethan2934

“ How many hits could Chad Chop chop if Chad Chop could chop hits? Answer: You have to do your own math because the card only lists average and at bats. ” -vanstryland

“ This one is pretty boring. ” -muskie027

“ Chad Chop...he don't take kindly to being joshed 'bout his name. ” -CollectingAfterDeath

“ AWESOME name. Terrible picture. Bad card design ” -cjjt

Set: 2017 Topps Holiday - Metallic Snowflakes (Rate)

Card: #HMW124 Dallas Keuchel

“ I am a huge Christmas person so every year I get a few boxes of these. I understand the hypocrisy since I rail against parallels quite often. ” -davidhandberry

“ Baby, it's cold outside. ” -royals

“ Baseball, snow flakes, apple pie and Chevrolet. ” -UKboogie

“ Maybe I am just getting old but card designs in the last decade are just boring and unoriginal. This is no exception ” -YoRicha

“ *bangs on garbage can* cant pass on this one. ” -parsley24

“ Silly but fun parallel. Can't imagine Houston sees actual snow very often. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I understand Topps' desire to capture a piece of the "holiday dollars pie", but a winter-themed design doesn't marry well with images depicting the boys of summer. Fantastic cash grab. Forgettable design. ” -dilemma19

“ Not a fan of the holiday snowflake sets. Way too many parallels to the regular flagship base set(s) already. ” -captkirk42

“ I like the front design. It's pretty clean and easy to read. The back is good even though it is pretty standard. My only negative is that it's yet another unnecessary parallel. Let's throw some snowflakes on a card and give collectors something else to chase! ” -BSwagger

“ I wish topps still a a football license, Im really down with design, back could be better with a picture though ” -Thunderfoot

“ I dig the holiday snowflake cards, I think they are quite more unique than having 12 different parallels. ” -Corky

“ I don’t mind parallels, but too many is ridiculous. There is no need for these. ” -muskie027

Set: 1991 JOGO - Stamp Cards (Rate)

Card: #1 Albert Henry George Grey

“ Great history on the back. ” -parsley24

“ Beauty! Didn't quite make it to age 66, but became well known for both the Grey Cup and Earl Grey Tea. A pretty good dude. Deserves recognition in an A&G set someday... ” -dilemma19

“ This card does little for me. Stamps are stamps. They shouldn't be trading cards. ” -BSwagger

“ Nice card of a stamp image. I don't know what else to say. ” -captkirk42

“ The man who provided the Grey Cup which in turn lead to Canada's party of the year (aka the Grand National Drunk). I salute you, good sir! ” -buckstorecards

“ Not wearing a baseball cap, must be a Donruss. ” -NJDevils

“ I think this is pretty neat. ” -muskie027

“ Governor General of Canada from 1904 - 1911. But more importantly, he established the Grey Cup. ” -Uncorrected Error

Set: 2008 Leaf Rookies & Stars - Longevity Silver (Rate)

Card: #172 Reggie Smith II

“ Cool looking card ” -parsley24

“ Oh! Me! Mine card & scan!! I actually have this entire set. Pretty tough. All sn249. 200 cards. That said, it is amazing that I really don't like the set. Just happy to complete something ” -cjjt

“ This is an average design. I do like the helmet on the back. Longevity is not only a stand along issue it is a parallel to the basis Rookies and Stars sets. At times this causes confusion when searching cards on Ebay. ” -Brendan Barrick

“ For a few years R&S looked the same each year. This design is one of those years. ” -captkirk42

Set: 1991 Studio (Rate)

Card: #125 Rich Gossage

“ There is not a lot to like on this card other than the player. ” -muskie027

“ Looks like Goose is having a mug shot photo taken...lol ” -SandersFan

“ Can’t say that I remember the Goose in Texas. The mustache will always be remembered though. ” -rmitchell6700

“ "Don't not accept checks from this man." ” -mkaz80

“ This was such a great set. I remember it being somewhat “expensive” for packs. My late mother loves it at the time though because I vividly remember completing the set with her randomly bringing packs home for me and always wanted to see what we got out of them. Never duplicated it’s awesomeness after the first release IMO ” -BrewerAndy

“ Always like the Studio series. It was a nice concept of quality portrait photos. ” -kirkscards

“ I don't like to criticize cards but this is terrible. I can't find anything I like about it. Granted, I can't see the back from my tablet as the hover feature doesn't work on it, but still... ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I think I am one of the few who really like this set. ” -NJDevils

“ 91 Studio seems like a missed opportunity. The black and white photos could have worked so well with a different design. Full-bleed probably wouldn't work, but a nice black border would have made these killer. Even Goose seems dubious about the design choice. ” -crimnos2

“ Not a fan of the Studio sets. These color bordered ones are better but I still don't like them for some reason. ” -captkirk42

“ baseball card or mugshot....you decide ” -Lennoxmatt

Set: 2017 Choice Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Rate)

Card: #2 Tyler Alamo

“ I love minor league cards. I do wish this one didn't have the thick grey strip through the middle, cuts out too much of the picture. ” -davidhandberry

“ Nice minor league card. I know some will hate the design because of the big area for a signature to go and it is blank. I think if the signature area was ghosted instead of gray it would be a bit nicer. ” -captkirk42

“ His one stolen base in 2015 was memorable. ” -parsley24

“ Is the idea that you get your own signature on that big blank space? That's a cool idea for a minor league set (where there's a better chance of being able to make that happen). ” -jackal726

“ I suppose it's a decent enough design for getting autographs. Plus it has all the relevant info and team logo on the front, so that's nice. ” -altaeria

“ Remember that this card isn't very great. The idea of blank space for a player to autograph is okay in theory, but you just end up with too much wasted space, which seems like even more of a sin for a minor league card. Props for the night game, though. ” -crimnos2

“ I never liked this color on a uniform. The giant white stripe thing ruined a pretty decent card. Was an auto supposed to be there? If so, it wouldn't have been bad if it was there. ” -muskie027

Set: 2008 Topps Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - Sketch (Rate)

Card: #NNO Jason Hughes

“ Harrison Ford has done 83 movies in his career, so even though it’s not a great one, this movie does rank among my 83 most favorite movies of all time. :) ” -Brimose

“ Nice sketch card. Well don art work. Looking at the "right" ear (actually the subject's left ear) and that side of the face it looks a little like Odo from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. ” -captkirk42

“ What’s going on with his ear over there? ” -BrewerAndy

Set: 1992-93 Minnesota Golden Gophers (Rate)

Card: #2 Milton Barnes / Dan Kosmoski / Dave Thorson

“ Thought this was a pre-production photo from the The Office (UK Version). ” -parsley24

“ OK a Basketball card. I wasn't sure which sport. On first glance of this photo I thought maybe it was some astronauts from a space mission. OK I thought actually cosmonauts from some Russian space mission with the redish-brown shirts or jackets. ” -captkirk42

“ I would certainly trust these guys to fix my car ” -crimnos2

“ Love to see everyone get a card even if they have to share it! ” -UKboogie

“ This is different. At first I thought it was the University of Minnesota Bowling Team until I saw the Assistant Coaches at the bottom. Interesting concept, but not something I would go out of my way to obtain. ” -muskie027

Set: 2002 Pacific Private Stock Reserve (Rate)

Card: #28 Emmitt Smith

“ i just trashed pacific on the curretn RCOTD, but this one is not bad. ” -parsley24

“ Why can't I hold all these boxes? I can't quite figure out what they were going for here. You have two empty white boxes, an empty blue box, a sideways position, and the team name hanging out at the bottom like an afterthought (but hey, off-center logo in the bottom right!). Absolute trainwreck of a design. ” -crimnos2

“ Always been a Frank Lloyd Wright fan, so I love the design of this card. ” -SandersFan

“ "Hello, world, here's a song that we're singin', C'mon get happy" - What this isn't a Partridge Family card? OK Not a fan of this set, Never been a fan of da "Boys". ” -captkirk42

“ Such a cool set. Look at this awesome card. HOF player, great front photo, good info/stats plus a different photo on the back. Just imagine how much better Panini's cards would be today if they'd just give us a different photo on the card back. Or, in Topps' case, ANYTHING of interest on the back. ” -mkaz80

“ Back to back Cowboys? This one is a much better card then yesterday. ” -muskie027

“ Someone needs to bring back Pacific. Great looking cards. ” -davidhandberry

Set: 2007 Donruss Elite - Zoning Commission Gold (Rate)

Card: #ZC-15 Tony Romo

“ This is a nice card for an insert. Romo is a very good commentator. This might be a coincidence, but former Cowboy QB Troy Aikman worked the Super Bowl the day, before this card was open to comments. ” -Brendan Barrick

“ I know that's not what it is but it looks like the background image is a drawing of some futuristic airplane. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I miss his turnovers. ” -UKboogie

“ Some of the odd concepts they come up with for insert titles. Decent enough looking design. I miss the real Donruss, even in their last dying days. ” -captkirk42

“ nothing bad, nothing great, but surely im not the only one seeing the snapchat ghost am I? ” -Thunderfoot

“ Looks like they forgot the memorabilia on a memorabilia card. ” -davidhandberry

“ The design is horrible. It's also a horizontal card, which I know some people like, but I don't. He played for the Cowboys. In the regular season at least, not much in the play-offs. Other than that, I really like this card. ” -Uncorrected Error

“ Jeffy's man!!! Honestly this card has a lot of wasted space and the replica back in a different color without Romo is terrible. Romo was a good QB. He is a great announcer! ” -muskie027

“ I always liked Donruss Elite subsets. Good scan. ” -cjjt
