Year: 2002

Set: Fleer - Tiffany (Rate)

Card: #299 Mike Lamb

“ It looks like the only difference on this parallel to the regular version is the serially numbering on the back...I would not be surprised if it was glossy where the base card was not. I hope that's the case because if it's just the number that would be rather disappointing...but I know from my own collection Fleer did do that kind of thing at that time. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Lamb played from 2000-2010 with the Rangers, Astros, Twins, Brewers and Marlins. Career: .276 AVG, 69 HR and 349 RBI. Notable facts: Was a part of the 1995 College World Series Champion Cal State Fullerton Titans, drafted in the 7th round by the Rangers and in 2005 he hit the first ever Houston Astros home run in a World Series game. ” -carthage44

“ How was Lamb as a player? Not baaaaad. ” -wamk

“ I have to say, these kind of subsets amuse me. look at it's counterpart from the base set. What's the difference? whatever the difference, this one is 066/200 and that makes it worth more. People go out of their way to complete these sets? ” -Dixxy

“ Looks like something you'd cut off of the bottom of a box of Bicentennial muffins or something. Also, there's something fatally uncool about not having the team name or player position on the front of the card. ” -revnorb

“ The Texas Texases. Whatever happened to Rangers? ” -jlaz10

“ I like the simplistic square border, it reminds me of the early 90s Topps cards. Also, I love the red-white-and-blue color scheme of both the card and even the colors in the photo. This combined with his playing for Texas just screams America. The stats on the back are solid too. It's an all-around good card. ” -ScottoftheBoro
