Year: 2002

Set: Press Pass Optima (Rate)

Card: #37 Jamie McMurray

“ Of all the sets issued in the 2000s, this is one of the ones I have the least represented in my collection. I have 12 of them...didn't have that many until about a month ago when a friend gave me a whole bunch of cards, that included some from this set. Before that I had around 5. Don't know why this set just never made it into my collection, my local shop must have not gotten it or sold out before I got to it. (either is possible) ” -Billy Kingsley

“ RAcing isn't my thing this looks like an OK card shows both car and Driver. Many racing fans have complained about sets that don't show the car. ” -captkirk42

“ He doesn't look very fast. I like that the driver and car photos get nearly equal real estate on the front of the card. ” -dilemma19

“ Not bad for a race card. ” -uncaian

“ Not the biggest fan of some of the base sets, but man those insert sets are really cool! ” -Joshua825

Billy, you don't have many of them b/c they suck! ;) Optima was the worst Press Pass brand ever and they still continued it for way too many years. The Optima XL set in 1994 was nice b/c of the odd size (Fleer GameDay size for the NFL/NBA collectors). The Optima insert sets were usually pretty nice, but most of the base sets were horrible, esp. in the 2000's.

True....they would give us cards of the driver's"star signs" but couldn't be bothered to give us car cards...I'm really happy with Panini so far

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
