Year: 1981

Set: O-Pee-Chee (Rate)

Card: #41 Bill Gullickson

“ I like that it's obvious on both the front and back that this is OPC and not Topps. That wasn't the case later in the 80's and especially in the 90's. The design is pretty blah on the front, but I really like the back. ” -spazmatastic

“ I always liked the colorful Expos hat in the 1981 set. ” -switzr1

“ Sweet! I miss the Expos. ” -cjjt

“ Cool a Neo-Vintage card. An OPC one at that. ” -captkirk42

“ Love the logo, tried to buy a hat today but the hipsters figure brims are cool to be 2" long LOL Know nothingof them until about 84 as at 10 I was still into Yogi and Boo Boo!! ” -ranfordfan

“ Good looking card! ” -CollectingAfterDeath

“ expos logo was always confusing to me, red white and blue but from canada ” -Thunderfoot

“ Second 1981 in a week. OPC instead of Topps, but still a nice card. Love the old Expos uni and the photo bomb from the dude in the background! ” -DocOso

This is an ugly card.  The Green border doesn't jive with team colours.  The team name, position, and brand all look wrong to me.  I assume this was due to it being a copy of the Topps and the requirement of French on OPC cards.

An odd comment as the Topps card front is identical other than the bilingual position and the company name yet because it is a Canadian product, it is "an ugly card".

On another note, the back image for this card is actually of the grey parallel set.  I have submitted an IR to have it moved (along with a couple of handfuls for other cards that had the wrong back image).

A rather colorful front and cartoons on the back makes it a "winner winner chicken dinner!!"

Charlot, exactement! Pourquoi qu'elle ne serait pas aussi belle qu'elle de Topps? Si elle serait en japonais ou en allemands, ca ferait t'il une difference?

My French is pretty rusty, but my Canadian is still quite good, eh.

And I like the 1981 set, be it Topps or O Pee Chee.
