“ Thought this was some Olympics card at first then maybe some Woman's Basketball or Volleyball. Netball? Never heard of it. Looked it up sounds mostly like a variant of Basketball and apparently has it's origins from basketball. It is also apparently a woman's only sport. ” -captkirk42

Wow! I can't believe the sport, set and images I uploaded made it onto the front page! I didn't think that would ever happen! :)

Netball is a fast paced game which is similiar to basketball and is played by women professionally. This card is from the Australian competition, 'Suncorp' Super Netball. Australia has the most competitive competition in the world, where most of the world's best players play. Australia, New Zealand, England, Jamaica and South Africa are the top 5 team nations in the world.

They ran this card set for 2 years before the company Tap 'n' Play went out of business. There hasn't been a release for the 2020 & 2021 seasons unfortunately. Hopefully another local company picks up the contract for the Netball.

I was introduced to this during my first visit to Australia, it is a very serious game over there and the women are quite big stars nationally. I do believe NZ and a few other nations of the South Pacific play as well.
