This is just terrible IMO. GQ never looks right in simple black and white. It needs some color to pop. Even the crappy "sepia" type of parallel design would look better than just the B/W parallel. I usually like a black and white parallel, but it just doesn't work for me with GQ.

I would tend to agree. 

 

The black and white parallel, to work, would need some color (Maybe the face, hat and jersey lettering.

This does not have any of this, so therefore does not look too good.

Randomly, ol' Zack's card appears about 28 hours after he became the first pitcher to get a World Series pinch hit in 98 YEARS!.  Those algorithms are working like crazy behind the scene of TCDb....
