“ Aside from using old designs, Topps hasn't really had a good insert set in flagship in years. This is another very forgettable one. ” -hiflew

“ I'm ok since the set seems to actually represent something. He really was an Award Wonner in the 2000s, and the back even gives details of his best season. Too often the chosen players don't match the set title. ” -switzr1
“ As a kid I would sometimes get the opportunity to take in one or two AAA games here in Wichita. My dad would buy me a program and before the game I would try to get the players to sign it. Flipping through one of them years later one I found out that one of the programs was signed by Pedro!! ” -dettigersmlb

“ I like this insert set. ” -muskie027
“ Legendary pitcher. Bit boring design, especially for an insert. ” -chvlDm

“ I like paying tribute to past stars and past players but it is getting too much, to me. In 2020 there were according to TCDB 525 cards made of Pedro. His three Cy Young seasons, he had 86, 225, and 458 cards made of him. Do you really need more cards made 11 years after his retirement then when he was an active player? Then I thought, well maybe this was the year he went into the Hall, no that was 2015 when he had "only" 222 cards made. If you are a player collector and you are collecting Pedro or any star player you are looking at several hundred cards a year even decades after they are retired. ” -davidhandberry
