“ I really like skyline cards, but only when it has the actual skyline for the city, either the team playing city or the player's home town. The generic skyline cards I don't like. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ ON the day when the posted RCotD is a Baseball Bat Relic, today for the RCotD to chat about we have a Basketball Jersey Relic? All black at least it isn't white or grayi. Again NO SERIAL Number. They will serial number some "team leaders" insert sets, but autographs and relics things that are so limited they SHOULD be serial numbered They Don't. OK I'm done with my rant for today. Carry On. ” -captkirk42

“ Even though I pay moderate attention to Basketball, I did not know CP3 played with New Orleans. For 2010 it isn't at all a bad card design except it seems pretty dull without that much color. ” -TwinKiller

“ Decent design for a Panini card. Boring relic though lol. ” -pugchump

“ A very nice looking relic card. ” -muskie027

The front looks empty. The back is better.

I like it. Well, I like anything that reminds people that the Hornets played in New Orleans and that today's Charlotte Hornets have no relation to the original Charlotte Hornets franchise, as much as the NBA likes to pretend otherwise.

To captkirk, the card is serial-numbered on the back.

To TwinKiller, Chris Paul played his first six seasons with New Orleans. On the eve of his seventh season he was traded to the Lakers, only to see the trade voided by the NBA at the urging of other owners who were all too eager to screw over the Lakers. (The Hornets were operating in bankruptcy protection at the time, effectively owned by the league until a new owner could be found.) A trade to the Clippers was worked out instead (with a grossly inferior return for the Hornets), and the Lakers began a long descent into irrelevance.

The aborted (3-team) trade:

- Lakers would have received Chris Paul

- Rockets would have received Pau Gasol

- Hornets would have received Lamar Odom, Luis Scola, Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic, 1st round pick.

The trade that actually happened:

- Clippers received Chris Paul

- Hornets received Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, 1st round pick.

OH I totally missed the serial number because of the lack of contrast in colors didn't see it until I saw it zoomed in. Yes being Middle Aged SUCKS.

Not a fan of landscape cards or materials. It's also a bit bland.

Thanks for that info. Like I said, I pay, "moderate," attention to Basketball wink.

Ha! That's actually my card and card images. I acquired that card through Panini's NPN (No Purchase Necessary) program way back when. And fwiw, this card has been on my FS/T list for quite awhile and it's still available.
