Would have been nice if they'd put a bit more effort into the back. The front isn't bad.

Why is there a baseball stuck to the back of his mitt?

This is actually one of my favorite cards - and is an excellent example of why I love minor leagues cards.

John appeared in a single MLB game for the Braves in 1997 where he pitched 2 innings, struck out 3, gave up no runs and earned the win. So his career winning in the majors is 1.000.

He last pitched in the affiliated minors in 2000 and then joined Sioux City (independent) in 2001. He tragically passed away during the season from a brain aneurysm. He was 26.

While this card might not be the most visually appealing, it’s the only certified autograph for John that was ever issued.
