He was screwed over by the Knicks management. He was a good player with a lot of potential and they cut him to make room for some contract they took in trade and later also cut. It baffles me that no other team took a chance on him. 

Being a Knicks fan is hard because they keep making these stupid choices. And it keeps coming back to bite the franchise in the posterior. Not just in the poor choices they make with the players they have, free agents don't want to come here because of the team's history and reputation, leading to a circular story that leaves long suffering fans, like myself, suffering. 

They have since changed management and it has improved but I still don't feel much trust yet...
