From how this card looks in the scan, I can understand some of the "busy" comments, and even in-hand, these aren't exactly un-busy, but in-hand, these look 1,000 times better (the background foil, albeit a non-hockey background, is holographic, and viewing it at different angles shows off different parts of the design). If you want pure hockey backgrounds with no excessive foil graphics, the Pacific flagship set was for you. That was the great part about the Pacific hockey products of the late 1990s, each one had it's own unique quality that collectors of that quality could go after (or avoid). If you don't like a base card without stats, avoid Omega. Don't like non-natural backgrounds, avoid Revolution, etc. I really wish those who comment about the RCOTD would take the time to understand the various sets of the time (especially these Pacific sets) before slamming them, especially the "doesn't have stats (or full stats)", "has too much foil", "too busy", or "too simple".

I have the entire set the cards are stunningly beautiful.  If you don’t have one you can’t appreciate them. One of my favorite sets.
