The cards only look slightly better in hand. The non foil versions are much clearer.

Seems clear to me, he's just running down a fire escape with no light, due to a fire in the background...

Only 18 cards in this set, yet it's the second one to come up as RCOTD! Definatly better in hand as the foils don't scan well.
