I purchased a Royals team set, 2022 Gypsy Queen, from eBay on July 13, 2022.  The seller shipped the cards on the 14th.  
I contacted the seller on July 30th, just to let him know they hadn't arrived. I told him I wasn't complaining or filing an issue, just letting him know. When they hadn't arrived a week later he graciously refunded my money ($2.50- the Bo Jackson card wasn't included in the set.) 

Guess what arrived in my mailbox yesterday, January 13th?  
The envelope, postmarked July 14, was torn, filthy and had footprints on it but the cards were fine. Of course, I no longer need them, but they were delivered.   
(In case you were wondering, I've sent the seller a message asking if he wants his $2.50 back.)

 I was curious, what's your longest wait for a card trade/purchase? 

Definitely beats mine. I received one today from the beginning of November that was refunded as well. Weird little surprise 

What state were the cards shipped from? I seem to wait longer on packages shipped from states near me than across the country.

Missouri

I live in St. Louis and the cards were coming/ came from Kansas City. 
Approximately 200 miles, depending on where in KC the seller is located. 

Still waiting for one from WV sent Nov. 13, 2022.

I just did a transaction from US to Canada during the holidays.  We both shipped two letters each around the Dec 13th.  They got the first one the 23rd but it wasn't till 5th of January the last three made it to each of their destinations.

Nowhere near how long you had to wait but was curious one package made it through the holiday rush.

Seems that the mail was sent around the Earth in the opposite direction because the idea of merely sending it directly across the state bored the postal workers. 

Just before all the Covid "stuff" started I bought this set on Kijiji (Canada's Craigslist).  Distance Niagara Falls ON, to Georgetown ON (120 km or 75 Miles) and got them 10 months later.

Once I was visiting my folks back down in Windsor and I had a trade on the go with someone in Detroit so I brought the package to mail from there since I thought it would be quick. Distance about 500m across the river.  I shipped with tracking and it absolutely astounded me where this package went. Windsor--->Toronto--->Missisauga--->JFK--->St; Louis--->Chicago--->Seattle???--->back to St. Louis--->Chicago--->Detroit. My cards would have arrived sooner with a good catapult. 

I get it, it most certainly can be frustrating when dealing with packages/letters taking far longer then expected. Then again, the USPS is overworked and criminally under-funded. Matter of fact, they aren't funded at all, which explains why they still drive trucks built in the late 80s that are frankensteined together. Doing the best they can with the little they have.

I sent a card once and never showed up so i went to my personal collection and pulled the same card marked as a want and sent it to him. He got the 2nd card and about 8 months later the package arrive all torn up and no card.  He sent me pictures of the old envelope that looked beat as LL my longest wait was 3 months
