Thinking of your PC.....if your collection is large, would you prefer to add maybe an autograph card or add maybe 10 cards of equal value?
I'm at that point now where I've got most all base/cheap cards and it's either add $130 auto or 8-10 cards that are around $12-$15.
What's everyone else think?

More cards. Autographs don't mean much to me.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Same as Chuck. I bought a handful of AUs for specific people, but only the one for each person and not chasing others down. MEMs and MANUs I avoid altogether. Much rather have more cards.

I have always been and will be a "The More the Merrier" type of guy.
10 $1 cards vs 1 $10 card. NO $50 cards for me. For some reason I just cannot see spending a lot of money for one card. But I have done it a few times. The way the prices are going I may have to if I want to keep collecting what I want.
I'm at the point where I'm finding better deals on the $10 -$15 dollar cards then the cheap cards. Like the OC2410 it appears I have gotten most of the base/cheap cards. Too bad I have run most of the members here out of cards I need. As I love to trade.

I'm a set builder more than an individual player collector, so if it's 10 random cards of a set I'm near completing I'd much rather have the 10 cards. I do enjoy getting Detroit Tigers autos, but I usually only buy them when I can get them for a good price. I'm not really chasing any specific card.

I must admit I am partial to many of the long pack odds '90s inserts of my main PC player as well as his '90s autos.
I am happy to spend a bit on them but don't pay the prices for current Panini basketball autos or parallels. There's just so many of them they don't feel rare to me.

Cards. The only autographs that mean anything to me are the ones I get in person, not in a pack of cards nor by mail.

It depends on the collection. I don't have a Robin Yount certified auto yet in my Brewers "team" collection. I would lean towards having one really nice Yount, from Sterling or Dynasty, versus 3 or 4 of his autos from Topps flagship.
However if I just collected Yount as a player only, I probably would like a few $50 autos than a single $200 auto.

Add another vote for cards. I'm like bobbytoskey - I will always take more cards to complete a set over anything else.
