I collect only
Cincinnati Reds
cards. I have been
adding team names
to many sets and
subsets. The
repetition is
tedious at best.
Would it be
possible add a
feature that would
add the team names
to all, like gold,
red blue etc for
all equal subsets
and parallel sets.
Also the minor
league sets are
harder. I can add
Reds to the
subsets, but first
I must add the
minor league team
and then link it to
the Reds as an
affiliate. I am
hopeful, but will
continue to plod on
if not. Thanks for
this amazing site.

I completely agree with you Redsfan. I spend a lot of time doing that as well. The new multiple team add feature is quite an improvement, but having to redo it for all parallel sets is a bit frustrating. If the base card is a Reds player, so are all his parallels. There may somehow be exceptions, but the person entering those cards/teams would likely know that and make the appropriate changes. Perhaps a question could show up asking if the user would like to duplicate this for all parallels? Just an idea...

I actually
suggested that all
the parallel's team
be copied from the
base card set
listing as well,
but I'm not sure it
was seen, as it was
part of another
post. It would
certainly make life
easier, however,
for most of the
basketball sets,
the parallels are
listed as inserts.
I'm fairly well
knowledgeable with
all NBA sets issued
from 1948-2005 and
I can't think of a
single instance
where a parallel
had a different
team- variation,
yes, parallel no.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Also regarding adding teams, I've noticed that when I add teams from the link to "cards in my collection missing teams", if I am adding any sport but baseball, as soon as I accept a team, it sends me to my baseball collection rather than updating the page for the sport I am currently working on. Not sure if this is something that can be easily fixed.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

If you visit a set and click on "Teams", you should now see a link to, "Copy teams from one set to another". This will allow you to copy the teams from one set to another within a particular set.
Thanks to Billy Kingsley and Redsfan for suggesting this feature.

In the Stats area, there is now a "Card of the Day" section. Thanks to Dixxy for this suggestion.
In members' profiles, there is now a "Card of the Day Selections" link. Thanks to Billy Kingsley for this suggestion.

Thanks for the copy
teams link. I have
to be careful to
only copy identical
sets. However, I
found one glitch
that could use some
tweaking. The copy
field copies the
teams, not names. I
Did several Topps
base sets and found
that whoever added
the parallel sets
added abbreviated
names on multiple
player cards. I had
to go in and
manually edit each
card to natch the
vase set. "A. Pujo"
instead of Albert
Pujols is of very
little help for
someone collects
only his cards. Can
the copy function
override incorrect
name fields also.
Once the base set
is corrected, if
necessary,
everything else
would line up
accordingly.
Thanks.

A new "Collection Summary" page has been added when browsing your collection by set. This page serves as a way to keep all available options related to collecting a set organized onto one page, rather than dispersed into various nooks and crannies. New options include being able to see the first card you added to the set as well as the last along with the full history of dates and times. Similar pages for Player/Person collections and Team collections will follow and will serve as the hub for new features on the way.
Thanks,
