I recently bought a few unopened packages of these. There are 6 per pack. 1988 and 1989 versions combined in them. I am unable to find the 1988 ones in the site. The "comments" and other sites i have seen, say there are 130 of the 1988 folders. I am unable to find the checklist though. Is anyone able to find this, so they can be added? They are 9.5 x 11.75 in size so they won't scan. How do i get the ones i have added with the image then?
Thanks!

All editing software that came with my scanners have stitching capabilities. I use ArcSoft PhotoStudio6. I can scan large items in sections and it will piece them together into one image. Here's a 12" album sleeve I scanned in sections and stitched. Absolutely seamless image.

Only problem is - these are not allowed on this site - specifically says so in thr FAQs (see last point - I bolded and italicized for emphasis):
Is it ok to add entries for other types of collectibles?
Other collectibles that are inserted into packs or boxes of traditional trading cards are allowed to be listed in order to fully document the inserts that were included.
Other items made by card companies, sold via card retailers, and authenticated by card grading companies are also allowable.
Listing items created by third parties printed with the likeness of cards (like folders, coffee mugs, and T-shirts) goes beyond the scope of the site

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 3/4/2024). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned on (details are in my profile).

I just went to the Change Log. We had big problems with that member creating sets for his personal collection. He got his permissions then went rogue with one-card checklists and other collectibles just to document his personal Gregg Jefferies collection.

(FYI the edit I did was just to change the brand to "Topps". I didn't realize these aren't allowed on the site.)

Topps didn't produce them. They're just 2-pocket portfolio folders, some call them trappers.

They were produced and distributed by a company called Duo Tang, commonly referred on various checklists as Sheaffer-Eaton Sport Shots. A smaller amoount were made depiting the 1990 Topps set, too. Almost uploaded the few I still have; glad I read this first!

Duo-Tang are 2-pocket folders produced for school use. I've used many in my time, still do....but not as an item entry here.

I have a Don Mattingly folder created from his regular 1988 Topps card ... I think I picked it up at a small firehouse card show in Branchburg, NJ in the late '80s. Did I pay money for this? If yes, it could not have been much ... I don't remember. This was when we thought Donnie Baseball would take over the world for 15-20 years ... he did NOT. I also have a folder with Hank Aaron that is not a copy of a card ... can't recall how I got it. It was probably printed in the Seventies when Hank was chasing the career HR record.

What about a companion collectibles database? As a player collector, I understand wanting to document this kinda stuff too. Would pretty cool to have something to keep track of that sort of stuff. I would love a checklist for my bobbleheads. I can never remember which ones I have.
