Let's say you have a set with 750 (blue) of the cards witht he remaining 42 (pink) in your wants. Of the 750 cards you already have you also have 700 of them for trade (green). If all of these are in the same collection and you display 100 cards per page, instead of 8 pages, you have 15 pages. If you buy 3 cards you have as wants at a garage sale, let's say #498, 612 and 722 so you go to update your collection, what page are these cards on? 498 on 7, 8?, 612 on 11, 12, 13?, 722 on 14, 15? If you have superfast internet, clicking on several pages may not be a boig deal But iwht rural internet, this can be a slow process.
By having my traders in a "Traders" collection and only having my Haves and Wants in the same collection, I know #498 is on page 5 maybe 6 depending on VAR, 612 on page 7 and 722 on page 8. Yes, you can isolate only your wants and update form there but the site sometimes kicks you back to the full collection each time you "Add Card to your Collection". Now take this into the 2008 Upper Deck Documentary set of almost 5,000 cards.
If the extra clicking on pages is not a big deal to you, then stay with one colelction. For me where I have some 80,000 individual traders and I have rural internet (barely better than dial-up), it does so I use a Traders collecction for my baseball.
