Hey All,
I was browsing the site main page a few minutes ago, and came across the points leaders, and thought "How do they get so many points?"
Now, points aren't that important to me (as you may be able to tell with my whopping 20 point total), but I was wondering if there was a page somewhere that told you what things get you points and how many. I know about adding images, checklists, fixing inaccuracies, cropping images and whatnot, those have come up in forums before, but what other things? And how many points do you get for certain things? And, most importantly, as a mentioned before, is there a page somewhere that lists all of these that I have not unearthed while scrolling through the site in the last 6 months since I joined? If not, is there a feature proposed? I have not checked the feature tracker yet, but I will when I log back on later.

- How do you earn points?
You can earn points by submitting items to the database (images, checklists, videos, trivia, external links, prices, fixes, etc). Points for submitting fixes and prices are awarded at the end of the month.
- Are points awarded for replacing images of cards?
For images that are posted to the wrong spot, low resolution, watermarked, severely crooked, photographed, overly cropped, or altered, please use the inaccuracies reporting link to report it so that it can be removed altogether. Once removed, you can resubmit and get the points and the credit.
If the image just needs to be slightly cropping or rotated, this can be achieved with the tools that show up under the card once editing is turned on. Points are awarded for this at the end of the month.
No points are awarded for replacing your own submissions. Points are awarded for replacing images that aren't bad enough to warrant a complete removal at the end of the month and credit for the replacement is given beneath the original submitter's name.

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

I don't really think that there's much more than what you've said.
But, you can tell my my whopping 13 points that I don't care either. I think they came from adding two sets and a couple images for me.

Didn't think I'd get this far from building robots in the garage, but here we are now. Wish I could make a robot that could scan every image of my cards in here...

An easy way to build up some points is to check profile pages to see if they're missing a Wikipedia link, a Baseball/Basketball/Hockey/Pro-Football-Reference.com link, TheBaseballCube.com, HockeyDB.com, etc., and you get a point for every link added.
Card images, I believe those are 2 points for a front, 1 point for a back, unless it changed?
EDIT: Sorry, had it confused. 1 for front, 1 for back unless the front is uploaded at the same time, then there's a bonus point given

I seem to see card images as 1 point for the front and 2 for the backs if I'm not mistaken.
Also, if you have packaging for a set i.e. packs, boxes etc. you can uploads scans of them to the appropriate sets to make a few points

Now I thought it was 1 point for both the front and the back. Hmm...
If there are certain problems coming up in inaccuracies that you excell at fixing, then that's a good way to collect points too.

Definitely not 1 front/2 back or people would be filling all the parallels with base backs

That already happens way too often. I believe it is 1 point for front or back only and 3 points for submitting both.

I have just uploaded 100 images, front and back to a 100 card checklist and it added 292 points to my total...so maybe the three points per card image isnt correct
