Okay, I'm cataloging Base Set cards, & they are all ending up being incorrectly listed in a subset?

I was like, where are the cards I just added, & the Base Sets are in the Emerald subset!

Subsets are smaller sets within a larger set - like “League Leaders” or “Rifleman”.

You have added cards to the “Emerald” parallel set - a parallel being a set that parallels all or part of a base set, with minor stylistic changes.

If they are base cards, you have catalogued them incorrectly in your own collection. I just experimented by adding four or five base cards from that set to my collection, and none of them showed up as being in the “Emerald” set.

no, i added the base cards to the base set, then couldn't find them ...then i added the emerald cards & found the base cards in the emerald section!

You had to have had the selection on the Emerald set to have the cards showing up there. I am in the process of entering my inventory (currently at 68,000+ cards that I've entered in about 2 weeks' time), and none of them have wound up in the "wrong set".

Which input method are you using? The options are:
Add / Update
Add by Card Number
Add Multiples (Dropdowns)
Add Multiples (Textboxes)

I have been using Add / Update, Add by Card Number, & Add Multiples (Textboxes), based on what I have in each product (mostly "Add Multiples (Textboxes)" to handle large amounts of each card).

OP - If you do it over again, do you get the same result?

I don't know... I just tried adding cards to the base set that you seem to be trying to add to (I can barely read the name on the tab but I think it's bball 2020-21 Panini Illusions), just in case something specific was going on with that set.  They showed up just fine in the base set.

As Vroomed asked - what method are you using to add?

And agree with Dan - I, and others have added hundreds of thousands if not millions of cards and haven't experienced this behavior with the site.

i was using add multiples by dropdown… now today, 1 card i added to the Base set is showing separately twice, (#147), 

& card #131 i have 2 Base Cards & 1 Subset, but it’s showing under Base as 3 Base cards…

Well, #147 shows one card in your collection, one card in your want list.

Perhaps I'm the only one getting confused due to your terminology, but please try and use the terms correctly. 

I don't think "subset" means what you think it does. I tried to provide a breakdown in my first reply.

Clearly describing the issues you are having will help other members try and troubleshoot it with you, and using inaccurate terms just makes it harder to understand.

It sounds to me like you are adding cards to different lists (collection and wantlist) as well as going to different parallel sets within a set to add cards, resulting in you documenting cards incorrectly.

"Subset" are cards within and part of the "Base" set; they ARE base cards. The "Emeralds" you referred to are a "parallel" of the base cards.
