Card Identification Forum

Hi all - I’m having trouble identifying this set. The backs are different from the 1892 Singer Sewing Costumes of All Nations H639 set.  There’s also a cover card which I’m not sure to which it belongs either. Seems to be unrelated to the Singer series but not sure. Any ideas?

Those are pretty cool. 

I am certain the W&W is from a different set. There are quite a few of their sets (or at least ad backs) out there. 

These are intriguing so I will continue looking for a bit. 

What are their dimensions?

Thanks!  I seemed to have located the Singer cards. They’re from an 1894 set but I can’t find an official checklist. 
 

As for the Wheeler & Wilson’s there’s lots variations but I’m not sure which set this belongs too. 
 

They all measure 5.25” x 3.25”.

Thanks - that’s the 1892 set which is already on TCDB. I believe these are from the 1894 set which I can’t find. I also can’t much on the Wheeler card.

Something is amiss then. 

The India card you have matches the India card in the link, https://www.wisconsinhistory.org/Records/Image/IM57879  See the back write-up.

The 1892 India cards we have listed are completely different. 

So one of these sets could be the 1894. Which one?

The member who uploaded the 1892 checklist is very knowledgeable however he hasn't been on in a while so we can't ask him for his source.

I think that website may be wrong on the year.
