Guys I think there is a little bit of a tunnel vision here on like specific Duncan autos and things which may be a slightly different limited release.
The OP asked about a set which has been identified as 1997 Score Board - Authentic Autographs - Red Foil. (If a different name is concluded upon in the end that’s fine.) Comc has many examples of these. This particular set’s theme is college players available for the 1997-98 NBA Draft class. Looks like several of these guys actually went undrafted. SB seemingly had a college focus and missed out on Tracy McGrady (high school) it looks like.
Now, look at the checklist of players here. It is only logical that this was a set sold together. Nate Erdmann, Peter Aluma, and Kiwane Garris would not get their own singular air time on the home shopping channels. And, there is no reseller in the world that is going to buy up these supposed printed-up but unsigned cards and find these guys to have them sign them.
Again, the autos are real. For one, the employee notes many times in his posts that while SB was not run intelligently, the autos were in fact authentic. I can give my two cents in that I have owned one of these cards, Jacque Vaughn and I know that that is his real signature, I have owned a few as a fan of his and the Jayhawks.
There are also gold foil parallels of these that are SN500. So I think the these common draft rookies were 1 thing, sold together, and previous stars such as Iverson, Drexler, Ray Allen would be an insert/related of some sort as they are printed with “PSA Graded” on the card itself or “1996-97 All-Rookie Team” and are a different draft class obviously.
