I have a few cards that are missing from the site which are chrome eg 2002 Donruss best of fan club spotlight 2002 Playoff absolute Team tandems. When I scan them they come out basicaly black. What do people do to get the true colours in their scans.

All cards in my for sale trade are for sale only as I only collect Ivan rodriguez now and have exausted all the lower priced cards. All cards will be at low book. I am in Australia but I think I can ship probably 6 cards in a plain white envelope in cardboard for somewhere aroud $2.50 US but would have to check. |

Nope. Refractors/Prizms are much better. Flat chrome cards stay dark.

Opening the lid while scanning sometimes helps. And using the Backlight setting on the scanning software will also help.

I am going to take the if you try a few times just take the best scan and upload it. If it is unrecognizable it will not get approved and if someone down the line has a better way of scanning in the future it will get replaced.

We aren't going to encourage photos in lieu of scanning. Just because others did it doesn't make it right. Admin has guidelines. Billy has a great FAQ to use and others are offering good advice on scanning.

Unfortunately, that's one of the difficulties with chrome cards. It's a bit of trial and error.

Jim you are right I meant scans. Not photos. I am going to edit my post to reflect. I agree photos are bad and horrible and when I'm in the queue they get deleted as needed. Sorry for the mistype and thank you for catching my mistake.

I'll scan once and if i don't like the result I delete the scan and put the card away and move on.
