Is this card in the database? Beckett lists it as 1994 Cardinals Magnet GM #1, but I cannot find it here. I'd like to get it added if it is not.

How were they distributed and who made them?

Guessing no one ever asked Admin about these. I still think they shouldn't be listed here.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

This six-card set features color action player photos in white borders. The cards are actually magnets that measure approximately 2" by 3". The last two cards of the set were released sparingly because of the Baseball strike of 1994. It is my understanding that they were SGAs, so team-issued? The other five in the set were:
1 Ozzie Smith
2 Gregg Jefferies
3 Bob Tewksbury
4 Ray Lankford
5 Rene Arocha
6 Tom Pagnozzi

Sorry, didn't mean to resurrect the dead. I am pretty new to the site and was just trying to get my collection over from Beckett to here.

All good, we just don't have official word from Admin on whether or not they can be added.
Jason, I checked my DMs and don't see anything to Admin about that set. Maybe Dan or one of the others reached out?

I never reached out because they are not cards, not made by a card manufacturer, or even the same size as cards. Because of those facts, they don't qualify for listing here.

I guess I am confused as to why there is such resistance to these. I mean, there are other magnets in the database. 1990 Phoenix Baseball Magnetables #40 Ozzie Smith for example, smaller than cards. I feel those are more random than the GM Magnets, and yet here we are. Milk cartons aren't cards, or made by a major manufacturer, but the 1986 Schnucks Milk St. Louis Cardinals cartons are listed.
I'm not trying to start World War 3 over a set of six magnets. The completist in me just wants to be able to track them. :)

People add stuff here that isn't allowed - the downfall of a crowd-sourced site. Just because there is an example of something that shouldn't have been listed that is listed doesn't mean that other items that shouldn't be listed should be.
Please check the FAQ for "other Collectibles" found here: https://www.tcdb.com/FAQ.cfm?ITEM=OtherCollectibles
If you read that and still think they would be allowed, then have at it.

Yep, I read that before I even posted on the forum. And I am fine with whichever way it goes, it’s just a hobby.
