Reprint sets give you an opportunity to own affordable replicas of cards manufactured long ago. Heritage sets give you an opportunity to own modern cards based on classic designs. Which do you prefer? Why?

I like both as part of my collections
I am not a big fan of short prints on the heritage, but I like the overall designs and concepts.
so far I only make team set of my favorite team with and without SP- I cannot imagine building an entire heritage set wtih SP..

I dislike all reprints, replicas, heritage, archive, or whatever name they might use for fakes.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I like both now. I used to hate both. Reprints I used to hate with a passion, but when you start trying to find the much older vintage cards from 1950s and back originals are very costly. With Heritage It was the football version I first saw and hated seeing modern guys in card designs from 30 or more years ago. The awful thing about Heritage (and many modern cards now) is the gawd awful fashion trends or lazy trends that players do now. The dew rags, the workout sweats, the sweat shorts with a "rookie tryout day" t-shirt that has a random number and a position abbreviation, or some strange mix of old trends with new trends, ad nauseam. Any non-uniform look that doesn't really show WHICH sport they are playing. Also I don't like the bad choices of "new" color combinations or tweaks to the vintage designs. OK so with Heritage it is more of a tollerance than a "like".

I collect: Baseball, Football, Hockey, Mostly Vintage pre1980, My Homie teams - Washington/Baltimore Teams Senators (Twins, Rangers), Expos/Nationals, Redskins, Capitals, Bullets/Wizards - HOFers - Non-sport (mostly TV shows and movies). My Trade List is very much a work in progress CaptKirk42s Trading Card Blog Curly W Cards Strive For '65 YouTube klandersen42

I'm the exact opposite. I love reprints, archives and the heritage sets.
I own the 53 and 54 Topps Archives sets as well as a 33 Goudey reprint set. I love the artwork, the card backs, the history.
I am surprised that I went as long as I did without paying attention to the heritage sets. After mzentko commented on my post about my love for the 1965 Topps baseball set, I'm really considering getting the 2014 Heritage set.
