I noticed an open IR for this card, have not seen a follow up to an image request. I believe the bottom card is what the person is asking about in regards to the black line through name when in fact it is just a color shift (registration issue) of the entire black line and not an extra line that was later removed creating the current black line/no black line variations in a number of other cards from the set. The top card is properly aligned.

Thanks, Ed. And as such, it is not listable here.

This exists in a lot of the cards from that year (I just went through my 90D this year to separate variants and found a bunch of these). I'm glad I saw this forum about the topic. Thanks to both Ed and Dan for the clarifications here.

Because everyone is assuming incorrectly that it's the black plate out of register. It's the plate that create the red border that has the "white" parts; white being the absence of ink. The red border is more than likely a spot color. That plate is out of register and shifts the white parts (name, position, team, "90").

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
