2000 SkyBox Baseball Forum

I'm going through adding all my cards back into my collection and came across my Mike Sweeney card from the Autographics insert set.  Either I'm not seeing the number on the card or they don't have numbers.  There is a couple already uploaded from the set so you can check for yourself but am I correct that there is no numbers?  I will scan my cards once I enter all my cards again so I know where they are and it will be easy to put them back.  Would changing all the numbers to NNO be better for Admin to do or should I just ask someone on here to make the changes?  I can do it, but right now I want to focus on getting all my cards and lists updated so it will take a while before I'm done.

Not having any of these cards myself, just looking at the scans already uploaded, it seems they are not numbered and just added alpha.

I understand the reasoning of making cards reflect their actual numbering here in the TCDB, but if they are all listed NNO wouldn't it get kind of confusing? Personally I see no problem giving them numbers alphabetically as they are now but I am sure there are others who say this does not follow the letter of the law.

The actual autographs from the multi-release Autographics were not numbered. When the brand was brought back in 2003-04 (in the NBA, not sure about other sports) the sets sported real numbers or a letter combo that's accepted as a number.

Based on the scans, looks like they should all be NNO.  I think it's actually more confusing if card numbers on the site don't match the card.  I might have this card, look at the back to see there are no numbers, and then when I get to the site I see numbers so maybe I'm thinking I have the wrong set.  If I see right away that the card numbers match up, makes me more confident that I have the right set.

I know for a fact that all of the 2000 Autographics cards from any sport do not have a card number and should all be listed as NNO. I haven't even looked at the scans on here, but I know the set well. My first ever pack-pulled AU was a 2000 Autographics from a Skybox Impact NFL pack. 

Way back in the 1990s, my wife and I were collecting every Yzerman we could find. There were several in the Beckett Annual (as it is referred to) that we were struggling to find. Turned out, we already had a couple, as they were not numbered, but we were looking for card #7 or card #15 because that's how Beckett listed them. If they had been NNO all a long, it would have saved us time (and a little money too, as we bought a couple doubles, not realizing).

That's how you end up with a collection of Jello molds...
