1990 Upper Deck Baseball Forum

Beckett states that the career totals up to 1990 do not include 1986. But, when I do the totals from 1978-1989 the totals on his 1990 Upper Deck #272 card are missing more than 1986. I believe the stats missing are 1983, 1985, 1986. I looked at Baseball-Reference.com and believe I'm correct. Am I missing something or am I looking at this wrong?

1990 UD card totals:
101-74, 3.65 ERA, 349 G, 172 GS, 39 CG, 4 SHO, 20 SV, 1549 IP, 1440 H, 590 BB, 1027 SO

B-R totals:
101-74, 3.68 ERA, 357 G, 182 GS, 39 CG, 4 SHO, 19 SV, 1561 IP, 1455 H, 594 BB, 1036 SO

...so the card is missing 8 G, 10 GS, 12 IP, 15 H, 4 BB and 9 SO and it has 1 extra save. It looks like the stats are missing the 1986 Phillies line, not all of 1986, but even that doesn't match up perfectly

Your edit beat me to it, Ed.  I think you are exactly right.  Missing the 8 games played with Philadelphia in 1986.

I changed the Note2 notation to be more accurate.

I also moved this thread to 1990 Upper Deck, as this is not suited for "General".
