I believe the image of card, #8 Bobby Thigpen that i just uploaded is the factory version with the "INC." as it is different from the one in the TCDB. Maybe all factory ones look the same as this card.

I've never had a set give me more headaches in entering. I have the HFS complete and INC and INC. partial. There appears there is no good way to add this set without spending a ton of time. IF there was a way of adding "a", "b" and "c" separately it would be sooo much easier. I guess the hazzards of putting 2000 cards in a set! Any suggestions out there?

Anyone that reads this and is interested in a master set, Here is my offer: A shot in the dark '91 Donruss trade; lot for lot, name how many 100, 400, 800. I figure my lot and your lot exchange could help each other piecing together these INC/INC. variation sets. PM me if interested. ~BOB~

This is 1 crazy set.
I have the HFS and Why is it different [c]? The borders?
I have a Retail Set which appears to be ALL INC. [b]
So if all this is true, Where are INC [a] ? Packs only?
Sorry, Can someone explain? Or even better I'll trade for your INC [a] lot.
LOL

Where can I find release notes or explanations listed for this set? Sorry about bringing this set up again, but I'm having a tuff time with it.
Here is a chart I have. PLEASE comment if you see an error
HFS |
Retail Set |
Retail Packs |
!NC. [dot] |
INC. [dot] |
INC [no dot] Where else? |
Grand Slammers * |
Bonus Cards [dot] |
Bonus Cards [no dot] Where else |
Stargell Puzzle [dot] |
Stargell Puzzle [dot] |
Stargell Puzzle [no dot] Where else? |
* not sure about these. I have 1-14 all BLUE, I have 8-14 GREEN [listed as green borders I guess. Now to complicate things the Granslammers also have different borders, blue or green. Messy.
Also, The Retail and HFS are INC. the same but do all cards have different borders or just some? And which cards are they?
And are INC. also found in retail packs?

Is this going to happen for the 1989 Donruss set as well with the four versions of each card?

And of course there are the 1990 Donruss cards which also have a INC. vs INC variation.

Because of the way all cards are listed as variations in the database, I am unable to add all without error or variations to my collection. Shouldn't one of the variation types be the most common and categorized as the regular card?

Unfortunately, no, there is no "more common" card, hence Admin's rationale behind the listing.
