1992 Leaf Baseball Forum

I've only found 2 of the rookies so far, but I know I've got another box or two somewhere I'll get dug up tomorrow. I think the Rookies were both INC., but not really a large enough sample size to say. 
appears all the current scans are (INC.) as well. 
I remember something about INC. printing the more premium stuff, which is why previous leaf were all (INC.). Possible all rookies set were (INC.).

so what's the plan with scans? Too early to start replacing them? I did a few last night that were old low quality scans. I ran across a few that had good scans with the wrong variation. Can those be moved when the other is ready? I figured the low quality scans need replacing either way since you can't hardly tell what they are.

I went through the 2nd series(265-528) on COMC with quantities of 8 or more & every card had both versions. John Kruk appears to be the only player card with only 1 version (INC.). I contacted 2 dealers on Sportlots (49 Kruks between them) and 1 replied:

IN the scans that have the zoom feature, we should move those over. On the scans that don't, honestly, they should be replaced. This is a common enough set, enough of the good scanners should be able to scan clear images for us.

If anyone has trouble with replacing images, we can tag them for replacement. Otherwise, simply replace.

Mark - thanks for your work on checking all of these. So is Kruk literally the only card unverified for the INC (no period) version? If so, that's crazy! :)

It appears so (Kruk), I just went and checked a slew of Black Gold (COMC) for this set series 1 & 2 and series 1 (1-264) either had INC (mostly) or INC. (sometimes), but none had both, in the 2nd series (265-528) all of the ones I checked (except Canseco), had both INC & INC. and were probably printed in equal amounts. The checklists and player cards are unaffected.

Base set and Black Gold set now have both versions listed. 

If the Gold Rookies set is also affected by it, please put in an IR and I'll get to it. 

Images - Any INC (no period) versions that have the zoom feature should be moved over to the [b] versions. Any image without the zoom feautre should simply be replaced.

Collections - All collection information was retained in the [a] version. Members will (obviously) need to make their own adjustments.

CORRECTION: The checklists and HEADER card are unaffected

Yeah, I knew what you meant. :) I did not add different versions of the header card or the checklists. I got that much on my own before I started yesterday.

I only have 3 of the Gold Rookies, but all 3 have INC. on them.

Just in the small sample I've checked in my Cardinals collection of base and Black Gold so far, I have some of both variations. I'd be happy to add new scans for any that are needed.

I own 5 Dave Winfield black golds and none are listed as "LEAF, INC." I've seen about 10 Dave Winfield black golds online and none are listed as "LEAF, INC.".  So could somebody please provide positive proof that this card does exist with "LEAF, INC."?  

I researched both Black Gold Series thoroughly. 1000s of cards on COMC for series 1 & 2. I said in this very thread March 13, 2021 @ 8:35 PM, that I found NO variations for Series 1, but a checklist was added anyway.
