Have the 2021 blister-carded team sets been canceled? These usually come out before Series 2 (around April) and there's no sign of them.

I was at a card show, in St. Louis, about 3 weeks ago. I heard a couple of guys saying that these team sets and the sticker sets wouldn't be issued this year. That is in no way official, but just what I heard.
If true, that's disappointing.

Considering they are usually sold at the retailers and, well, we've seen how that's played out this year. Topps has had all sorts of production and quality control issues in this year's sets. Maybe it is best they sit this one out as disappointing it may be for some.

Wow! If they're cancelled this would be the first time since Topps acquired the rights to produce the teams sets in 2006 that they wouldn't release them.
What are the QC issues they've been having this year? I wasn't aware of them.
I do know that retail has been a problem with resellers lining up to buy cards, and people fighting over them. I would think team sets ease some of that tension by letting people who are more casual collectors participate in the hobby. I saw a few 2020 team sets at Walmart last week (must have been old inventory), which is why I was wondering about what is going on with the 2021 sets.

No sign of Topps Total either.

I'd be eternally grateful to anyone who can help me find a 1998 Bryan Braves (non-perforated) Kerry Ligtenberg and a 2000 Nabisco Albertson's Astros Chris Truby. Last missing items in a 10,000-card "set."

Look at the forum postings concerning the Heritage wrongbacks (and plain leaving a card out altogether) or Bowman numbering issue.

The Topps team sets were a quirky little release I enjoyed adding to my Topps flagship Nationals collection. There would always be a card or two in there that didn't exist in the regular flagship release. You'd often find these at the team gift shops at the stadiums as well, so it wasn't just Target/Wal-mart for these.
I know the Sticker set release was promoted and seems to be still on track to release in late July. I know the sticker collection preview set that got inserted into Opening Day packs was nixed though, so maybe it is still up in the air...
