Greenish Tint

I've noticed that some of Topps's foil products like Fiest and Topps Chrome cards have a greenish tint to it. Can someone explain the nature of this? These cards I recently got are fresh out of the wax. ------------------------------- My Google plus gallery: https://goo.gl/photos/QcxEL3GxmoF7QRbXA

I have not seen that, but I got most of mine when they were new, some 15 years ago. It's possible that being sealed in the pack is causing a reaction with the clear plastic used for the protective cover on the Finest cards, but that wouldn't explain the Chrome cards.

On some cards the player looks more like incredible Hulk than a ball player. From what I have seen this issue does not effect grading, Beckett or PSA, but now it boders me. With 1993-94, that's the way they were produced. It was the first year for chromium cards, and I don't think they had the technology down yet. For 1993-94 it's no big deal, but for 1997-98? I've not seen any with that problem.

Oddly enough, just days after this thread, I got my first card with the green stuff going on from 1994-95 Finest. My mom got me one of those 100 cards for $5 packs you can get at Target, and the very last card in there was a Robert Horry #149 from 1994-95 Finest. Half of his face and most of his arm are green...it's so bad looking that I don't even plan to post the scan to the Database, if it's not already posted by someone else. It's that bad. I have to wonder if it was storage conditions, because all the 1994-95 Finest cards I got when they were relatively new- primarily during the time period of 1996-2002- none of them have that.
