Subtle way of saying "thanks for breaking the scanning guideline?"

If members made it their habit to read the Forums every day, they would see that this type of image upload is not only against site guidelines but also totally unacceptable for quality (see flash in center of both images).

But then I can understand why many don't read the Forums as some threads that are completely worthless are kept alive by members who think it is funny, threads that have been answered already keep being pushed back up by some who think the answer is only right if they affirm the accuracy of the answer provided, or less than polite (or encouraging) responses such as one this morning to a newish member wishing to contribute to the site, who asked a reasonable question on the process.

Same toploader it's been in for 20 years. Kinda feel left shamed and confused with no new info. I guess I should thank some folks before they choke on there 50's collection. Said  look at my own upload.

Well, I feel confused and kinda shamed. Same top loader it's been in for 20 years. Let's you know the real people behind these profiles.

The point being made is that when you went through the Image Processing permissions there were guidelines you agreed to for what is an acceptable image for this site. You did not abide by that guideline with this particular image. Regardless of how long it has been in a top loader, as you can see below, should not have been scanned that way.

Second part is that not only is it in a top loader, but it also a photograph and not a scan. THe flash in the center of the card gives that away.

  • Graded and slabbed cards should not be scanned in their holders unless the card was released that way by the card manufacturer.

    Cards should not be scanned in top loaders. If the card was released by the manufacturer in a top holder, sealed with an authenticity sticker, while the preference would be for the card to be scanned outside of the holder, the site understands that this may not always be possible.

I don't like this anymore.

Aside from the fact that the image is correctly tagged as needing replacement (and that members agree to follow the rules for uploading scans, not photos, as Jim pointed out), could you please clarify what your question is here, OP? What are you asking for when you say "Any ideas about this Jordan?"

And this is the third tagging. He keeps uploading photographed replacement images.

To the OP: Are you endeavoring to upload images for the public database or to show in your private collection?

I ask this as there are different processes for each outcome and very different image quality requirements.
