Cant find the listing for the Rookie Sweaters Relic insert set. Is that separately listed somewhere? Also, the purple lettering cards with white borders? what are those? Bought a blaster box of 88 cards from a Walmart and just trying to enter all cards into my collection. Thanks in advance. 

Sweaters Relic inserts have yet to be entered in the database, most likely due to not knowing the true card numbers (Panini's site lists numbers, which is probably incorrect).

As for the purples, are they inserts? What are they called?

I have no idea what the purple ones are called. They basically look like the base set cards only with the name as the bottom in purple foil, which is actually hard to read. Maybe it's a retail parallel set? I'm assuming the set is just that newly released so not all info is in yet.

What is the point of a sweater set that the players never saw or touched in any way?

Agree. The picture on the card should be a picture of them wearing the sweater.
