75% Short Prints?

As I continue my venture toward reorganizing/reconciling my collection I'll take a break to look at my Wants. As I'm looking at this set I noticed that 75% (about 130+ of the 175 total cards) are short printed. I know how that may be possible mathematically, but is that accurate, or better yet, reality?

What source determined these cards were short printed? The set is 59 years old. Mark ------------------------------- Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

The Short Print (SP) designation comes from Beckett [1]. "... Since this set was not printed in the standard fashion, many of the cards were printed in lesser quantities than others..." [1] https://www.beckett.com/football/1965/topps/

I suspected Beckett, but I find it hard to wrap my mind around 75% of a set to be short printed regardless of set up.

I never did really understand what they really meant by SP. I had 5 cards of a card that shows as a SSP priced at .18.

Perhaps they should go back to the DP designation for those 25% overprinted cards.
