Hopefully someone has a more definitive answer but my educated guess is that the "large print" variation causes the "Eagles" after the QB position at the bottom to get cut off at the right edge.

The COMC images show it better, but yeah it's the "S" getting chopped

I'm guessing the S isn't always cut off. The M in CunninghaM is directly below the knee in one version and slightly to the right on the other but the card itself is cut way differently.

I guess I don't see it, just looks like a bad cut to me and not a different missprint. There is more to the left of the player but again that is just due to the cutting of the card. Not sure why this would be considered a VAR.

I have a copy of each, here’s a photo.
using the 2 Mantle inserts as “borders” you can see that the font in the bottom card is a bit larger than the top card

The argument could be that it is. The "S" cut-off looks to be consistent based on the COMC images. Pro Set had one plate set-up, eventually noticed how the card was being cut and adjusted the cropping on the card so it was no longer cutting the "S" off.

The image provided by mrrippy82 is very helpful.
For those who are trying to figure this one out, you need to make a couple of different comparison points. If you look at each card, you'll see where the "RA" in Randall is in comparison with the photo - the R is under the background, the A is under the white of his pant leg. This is the case in both cards. So the name has the same "starting position" on both versions.
Now look at where "HAM" is in Cunningham. On the card on the top, you can see the A under the blue stripe and the M under the white pant leg. On the card on the bottom, the A is under the whuite pant leg and the M esxtends out under the background. Bottom card has a slightly larger font than the top card - this is what pushes the rest of the text "off" the card. Not a miscut.

The picture I posted above shows the difference in text size (top card=small text, bottom card=large text). I forgot to add for clarification because my makeshift border cards were blocking the edge of the Cunningham cards, that like the VAR note indicates, the S in EAGLES is partially cut off in the larger text VAR
