As I said you do not have to posess the cards, just need a trusted source for image proof. No iffy images needed. I plan on using COMC as the main source of trusted images. If you have the cards in hand that is even easier.

Ed,
Just in case there are any noobs or dummies who have just volunteered without any idea of what they should do... What do you want us to do?
Your spreadsheet link works great. I gather there are up to 7 possible VAR for each card? And we are hunting for which VAR exist?
:)

Yes, and if the variation exsts, please put a lowercase "x" in the corresponding cell.

there are most likely 2 variations per card but could be a third. The few I have seen are A* or B*, C* or D*, E* or F* but the 1988 set has some that are A*B*, not sure on the 1990.

Fine, pick a block. Dan had initially asked for this done by Friday when the submitter of the IR was offered the spreadsheet to help him out. So far he is silent.

I have started to fill in some cards 310-330 (only have searched COMC to get this much info). If you want to see what the process is follow the spreadsheet link to it

I just did 1-66. Funnilly enough they were all A*. Knocking more out now
Edit: That was easy. Did my entire set. Series 1 all A*, Series 2 all D*, Series 3 all F*
