One is the 3-card horizontal panel and the other is the L-shaped panel. Here's an article that explains the Card Art process. You can see why the photos move (cropping) when they change the layout to L-shaped.

Many cards have slight differences in cropping. Nettles the dirt at the bottom; Reuschel "S" in Cubs logo not visible.
