1993 Kenner Starting Lineup Cards Canadian (French/English) Hockey Forum

I have in my collection a regular Brett Hull card and the Superstar Scorer card, The fronts are the same as the scans that have been listed. The backs however are different from the scans provided on the site. Mine contain an English/French combination in the wording. Does anyone know if there are variations like this for every card in the set or just a select few? A few of the scans on the site contain the language combinations, but there is not a separate listing for both English and English/French variations.

I have found there are at least 2 other players that have French on the SLU packaging.

Did they do this for the whole run of Hockey that year?

If my memory still serves me they produced Canadian and American versions much like some of the early 90's hockey sets hence the Canadian SLU's had cards with bilingual text and the American versions were English only!

Did they do it for the full run of players?

A review of COMC has led me to the following data (card numbers used for identification purposes only - the "b" version is always the "subset" card). Sorry for the awkward format, but I wanted to make it somewhat readable and clear. 

My old database indicates that we have 4 cards for Yzerman, which leads me to believe there is a full French/English parallel.

The Jagr "5b" French card was confirmed ... under the U.S. version. Doh!

I found the Yzerman "12b" French one online, but I couldn't find the regular "12" one. I think the card number might be #PN90460400 but I need someone to verify (Dan?).

I also need the two Grant Fuhr French ones ... can't find them anywhere.

Just looked through the binders and only saw the English-only versions, which leads me to believe that we have the French versions in a still sealed package.
