2023 Panini Absolute Football Forum

So this year the Rookie Premier cards that would normally be in the Hobby Version (Main) checklist are alpha-numeric like RPM-SC for Sean Clifford SN399 (Rookie Premiere Materials Autos from Panini official checklist). The RPMA Spectrum (which has typically been in the Inserts section) are numerical and all SN'd to 99. 

So I am just wondering how to move forward adding the hobby checklist.

Any thoughts out there?

Mosaic did something similar this year, I think (assuming I'm understanding you correctly). The "NFL Debut" subset at the end of the base set is numbered alpha-numerically. Since Panini came out and specifically said that these were part of the base set (as did other hobby sources), TCDB has them listed in the base set and associated parallels.

Non-continual numbering usually would have them as an insert, but if Panini says that they're part of the base set, then that's probably where they should be listed.

As I know, it seems that the 2022-23 Panini Select Premier League Soccer checklist includes a variety of cards, including autographs, memorabilia cards, and inserts. However, I was unable to find any information about the Rookie Premier cards or the RPMA Spectrum cards that you mentioned. So It's so challenging to know Rookie Premier cards Hobby Version checklist.

Where would we find if Panini says these are part of the base set? 

It also should be noted that only the "Rookie Premiere Materials Autos Five, Five Spectrum, and Five Tags" are the only RPM's that are numerical- not alpha-numeric.

For Mosaic, Cardboard Connection specifically pointed it out in their write-up, and Panini's checklist referred to the cards as "Base NFL Debut", which (as you know, Colin), they almost exclusively reserve the word "Base" for what they consider the base set on their checklists. They also grouped the NFL Debut subset with the base cards on their sell sheets.

Cardboard Connection also says that the Rookie Premier Materials Autographs are 42 of the 242 cards in the base set for Absolute. So does Panini's sell sheet. I would say that this pretty safely indicates that they are considered part of the base set.

Panini official checklist only has 39 of the 42 Rookie Premiere Materials Autos included. Same for the Spectrum Autos (SN to 99). 

I think we have enough info to move forward. I just need to verify alpha-numeric numbers.
