I agree with you 100% This year the Brewers have 4 SPs, 2 players of which had a EXTREMELY small chance of being back on the rooster next year.

At least they had a soul and didn't put De La Cruz as a SP. I thought they dropped the ball on Votto they could have put him in the SP section as a unspoken tribute. 

I'm in the same spot with lots of holes from past SP runs. What I'm thinking about doing this year is to take some of the past SPs out of my collection and adding them to my for trade list for this year's SPs.  I've never completed a Heritage set yet, but 1975 was the year I was born and I feel if there is any year to do it, this would be this one.

I have been working on a 2019 set for a couple of years now. I'm down to about 50 cards left to get. Yes, they are all SP's. I only have 1 duplicate SP, so it doesn't make things any easier. Send some offers my way if you would like. I have always been able to work out something with counters from other traders. Thanks! Randy

I stopped after the 66 design. Then came back for the 71 and 72 designs. I noticed that in the time in bewteen those the SP's went from 75 to 100 and you went from getting 3 per blaster to 2. I decided to stop at that point.

Maybe it's regional, but the last few years I've gotten 3 SPs per blaster more often than 2 per. 

My one blaster so far in 2024 had 3. Chrome cards on the other hand have become extremely rare in blasters, at least from what I've noticed.

It could be UD Hockey I am thinking of on the less SP per blaster. I stopped collecting both around the same time. Also I am getting old and easily confused.

I think Chrome cards should disappear altogether in Heritage.  It's silly to make shiny versions of old cards.  But so many people like everything shiny.  

And as for short prints - does anyone really chase them by buying more retail packs?  Once I get to the point of diminishing returns, I'm off to the show to buy singles....

They should have really quit putting SPs in Heritage two years ago.  There aren't SPs in '73 and beyond....

But they think we like it and will pay for them....
