Paca (in the comments): "Bob Baun's card no. 24, while not an error, is very strange. He was a Sabre for one day in November of 1970 and never played for them. Ten days and two trades later he was a Leaf, who OPC lists him for."
This does tell us a lot about when Topps's production deadline was, I'd think! Guessing they were just about to go to print when the news about Baun being dealt to the Sabres came in. No time for an airbrushing job, just a rush white-out of the Wings logo, swapping out the team name at the bottom, and adding a line to his player bio. By the time the news came in about going to the Blues, and then back to the Leafs, the cards were most likely being shipped to stores. OPC printed much later, and had the time to assign him to his proper team (presuming they re-used an older pic).
