I don't know if there is any difference. I only have one. Joe Murphy. I know for sure it's Topps Premier because it's from a box of Topps Premier I opened.
It was on an envelope at the bottom of the box so it's possible they used the same cards for both series.

A price guide publisher that maintains a rather comprehensive online checklist of sorts only has this set listed once, as "1993-94 Topps Premier Finest" and in the "Set Information" section it says "Randomly inserted in both Topps and OPC second-series packs..."
This is one of the sets where only one set should actually exist, but there should be links in both releases. Create an IR, then the resolvers can assign it to Admin to handle (only Admin can do that).

There are many Topps branded inserts that were issued in both Topps and OPC over the years. Most (if not all) are listed in both sets. The difference between the listings is the brand "Topps" precedes the set name in O-Pee-Chee product. I track mine according to the base set I collected.

~Rob~ Hockey set collector including inserts, ERR, COR, VAR. Knowledgeable about 1968-69 to 1994-95 hockey. All 1990 and newer cards for trade are NRMT. Expect the same in return. 1989 and older are assigned a grade. Everything on my trade list is available for sale. Reasonable prices based on condition. If it's not on my tradelist, it's not available.

But unfortunately, once the package is opened and separated from the base set it came in, there is no way to tell which brand it was included in. Having the two separate listings does not help someone who has just the one card. This is the problem I had this morning when I looked up the one card I had. Two listings but exactly the same card (the only difference was the dark scan in the Topps set - hopefully the better scan is the one that is saved).
Early 1990s was the beginning of the really dumb things card companies did. They just became more numerous through the years.

Not this set, but there are some sets that I have found that are almost exactly like this. Thankfully in those they actually put a Topps or O-Pee-Chee stamp on them to differentiate, but otherwsise look the same.

Yes, I did come across a few of those cards still made by Topps but the label on the front is clearly OPC. I looked long and hard at this one before finally posting here asking the question.
I am so happy baseball card sets are so much easier to identify. (sarcasm)

But in WWE sets, we are expected to know what set name appeared on the pack, instead of on the card. But I digress.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

How about subsets for these cards? For instance, card #148 Selanne/Mogilny look identical in both sets. They both say "premier" on the front, and neither has French on the back like regular base cards.
