This is merely for educating, not trying to point out any individual's mistake.
Topps goofed in the update set, and what should have been card US-21 was US-117, making 2 US-117s, and no US-21.
We had in the Gold set, unfortunately, had a US-21 listed with the player's name that should have been 21 (Holaday). US-117 was listed as Lackey. Someone went in and changed the NAME / TEAM on 117 to be Holaday. This is not the correct method for doing this! So now our checklist has Holaday listed TWICE. Now, the problem is, people may have added card US-117 to their colections as they may have had the Lackey card, but when the user changed that info, their collections are now incorrect, while the person who made the change may have added their card (what would be assumed as "correctly").
This has made a mess of this set. I couldn't change the name back on the US-117 card, because we have no idea whether the collection info was added as Lackey or as Holaday.
I added a new US-117 - Lackey. If anyone has the Lackey card, I suggest you add it to your collection using that card. The card now numbered as US-117, but in the 21st spot (Holaday) , will get it's collection data moved to the US-117 - Holaday card. The 21st spot card will be deleted.
Please be careful when changing names and/or numbers on cards. Please think about the ramifications that change will have on any collection information. Thank you.
