NBA Top 50 Jerseys/Autos

by wamk - 50 cards (Last updated on Feb 14, 2013)

31. 2007-08 Bowman Sterling #EM Earl Monroe

"The Pearl" looking sharp in the Knicks home white uni. He picked up the nickname "Thomas Edison" in high school, due to all the moves he invented. Teamed up with "Clyde" in 1973 to win the Championship, probably the most potent backcourt of all time.

He played on 4 all star teams, and was rookie of the year.

32. 2010-11 Panini Elite Black Box - Elite Series Materials Prime #46 Hakeem Olajuwon

"The Dream" won 2 rings, an MVP, won 2 Finals MVP, 12 all stars, an Olympic gold medal, and was a two time defensive player of the year. Olajuwon led the league in rebounding twice, and blocks three times. He's the onlt player in league history to win MVP, Defensive player of the year, and Finals MVP in the same season.

33. 2000-01 Fleer Tradition - Feel the Game #NNO Shaquille O'Neal

Shaq Daddy hoisting up a jumper. Too bad they didn't choose his signature dunk for the image on this card.

The Diesel won 4 rings, was an All Star 15 times, and a great interview. He was goofy like a kid, never took himself seriously, and was the immediate center of attention whereever he went. He led the league in FG percentage 10 times (NBA record), is in 3rd place all-time for FT attempts (and missed over 5,000 of them).

34. 2004-05 SkyBox Premium - Proven Performers Jerseys (75) #PRJ-RP Robert Parish

"The Chief" won 4 rings, made 9 All Star teams, and was part of the best frontcourt of all time (with Bird and McHale). He was an incredibly gifted Big Man, ran the floor very well, and had a great outside shot.

35. 2006-07 Upper Deck Chronology - MVP Winners #MVP-BP Bob Pettit

1 ring, 2 MVP, 4 All Star MVP, 11 All Star teams, 2 time Scoring Champ, and Rookie of the Year. In addition to being a great scorer, Pettit became one of five players in league history to average 20 rebounds a game. He retired as the first player to score over 20,000 points, and his career rebounding average of 16.9 per game is only behind Russell and Chamberlain. Pettit averaged at least 20 points per game and at least 12 rebounds per game in each of his 11 NBA seasons. No other retired player in NBA history other than Pettit and Alex Groza (who played only two seasons) has averaged more than 20 points per game in every season they've played (note: Michael Jordan averaged exactly 20 points per game in his final season).

36. 2004-05 Upper Deck - UD Game Jerseys #GJ-SP Scottie Pippen

6 rings, 7 All Stars, a tremendous defensive player, and incredible versatile. He could dunk on you, pull up from anywhere, rebound, defend, and out-hustle you. Pippen and Jordan would regularly play one-on-one against each other sfter parctice to improve their individual games.

37. 2009-10 Upper Deck - Dual Game Materials #DG-RF Willis Reed / Walt Frazier

2 rings, 2 Finals MVP's, an MVP, and a 7 time all star. Reed is best remembered for hobbling out of the locker room with a torn muscle in his leg during Game 7 of the 1970 Finals. His guts inspired his teammates to a win.

38. 2004-05 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection - Game Jerseys Limited #UGJ-OR Oscar Robertson

The "Big O". Averaged a triple double for a season. Came close to doing it again several other times. If you took Robertson's first five seasons, he averaged a triple double for that entire period. He's also the only guard to average 10 rebounds in a season (and did that 3 times). Oscar paired up with Kareem/Alcindor to win his only title.

He made 12 all star teams, was MVP of the al star game 3 times, and won am MVP.

39. 2002-03 SPx - Winning Materials #DR-W David Robinson

"The Admiral" won 2 rings, an MVP, was a 10 time all star, and rookie of the year. He also played in 3 Olympics ('88, '92, '96), and was a defensive beast. The addition of Tim Duncan to the roster was the missing piece for the Spurs and Robinson to win championships.

40. 2003-04 SP Game Used - Legendary Fabrics #BR-L Bill Russell

Where to begin? 11 rings, 5 MVP, 2 NCAA Championships, 12 all star games, 5 times rebounding champion, and played regularly against one of the best big men of all time, Wilt Chamberlain. He is one of four players to win a NCAA title, and then a NBA title the next year. He also won a gold medal in the 1956 Olympics. He was known as a clutch player, playing in 11 deciding games (10 times in Game 7's, once in Game 5). He was 11-0 in those games.

Fantastic list! By the way, my favorite card in your listing is the Walt Frazier Artifacts card.

MAS- Finally scored the Bing off eBay. I got lucky, as the seller had the year incorrect in his posting, and I was able to Buy It Now before others saw it..

Gunny- Thanks! The Frazier is pretty cool; my favorites have to be the Barkley (only jersey card of him I could find, and fairly rare), and the Thurmond.
