Jim Thome: Cleveland's Home Run Championby ScottoftheBoro - 12 cards (Last updated on Feb 7, 2014) |
A collection of various Jim Thome cards from every season of his initial stint with the Cleveland Indians (1991-2002). I'm working on a set of every year he played (1991-2012), but I'm missing a few towards the end, so I'll start with this. Thome is easily my favorite player ever, and in my humble opinion should be a first ballot Hall of Famer when 2018 rolls around. The man hit 612 home runs and was a dynamite first baseman (before recurring back injuries forced him to DH status). When Jim played baseball, he did it with kindness, humility, and passion; and he did it WITHOUT peds.
12. 2002 Fleer Maximum #33 Jim Thome
I dunno what it is with me and Fleer, but this was another card I bought based on its inclusion in a set that I already owned several of. |
