Not just autographs. MEMs, intentional SP/SSP, hundreds of inserts and parallels, and serial numbered have also ruined the hobby.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

It is a   sad day when a player who never made it on a team has more 1 of 1s then they have base cards.

I voted " No way, we need lots more! ".

I'm a 'share the wealth' type of guy who sees nothing wrong with everybody being able to get an extra-special card (especially for the kids). I'm not concerned with whether the market is being flooded with autographs. It doesn't ruin the hobby for me. I personally would like more autographs of my favorite baseball team in my collection if I had some surplus autos to trade. Anyways it's not like every single box or pack has an auto, right?

I would say that over-priced and inaccessible products do more to ruin the hobby/fun than parallels, inserts or autographs.
